Logo Design

Within this week I have started the foundation of my website. I have played around with both Adobe Dreamweaver & Photoshop.

I will use Dreamweaver to create my website and host information and I will use Adobe Photoshop to create/manufacture images (as I won’t be copying images directly of the internet).

Already I have created a logo for my new band “Scum” it’s an image of an electric guitar with wings and a scum text running down the middle of the guitar, I used

RESEARCH

Last week I researched the key aspects of industry, this research included both primary and secondary.

In my primary research I made of a questionnaire which consisted of ten quantitative and five qualitative questions. I handed out this questionnaire to twenty Joseph chamberlain students, ten of which were male and ten of which were female both aged from 16-19.

The reason why I selected an equal number of gender’s in a similar age group is because the website which I am creating is for a new rock band and teenagers tend to be the most popular market for this genre. Once I had collected this data I stored it and started my secondary. This type of data I collected over the internet by researching three other rock band websites, I analysed:

• special effects
• typography
• graphics
• colour scheme
• editing and sound
• representation
• anchorage

By using both primary and secondary I will use the data to create my new website.
